INDICATIONS Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP)
MECHANISM OF ACTION Increase aqueous outflow and reduces aqueous production
MICROBIOLOGY Acts on RHO kinase and norepineprine transporters found on trabecular meshwork. Also works on uveoscleral pathway as prostaglandin analogue.
CONTRAINDICATIONS & WARNINGS No contraindications but Rocklatan can cause an increase in pigmentation of the iris, periorbital tissues and eyelashes. Can increase eyelash length. Can cause macular edema. Avoid in patients with a history of herpetic keratitis.
PEDIATRIC USE Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established
PREGNANCY There are no adequate and well-controlled studies of ROCKLATAN ophthalmic solution or its pharmacologically active ingredients (netarsudil and latanoprost) in pregnant women to inform any drug associated risk.
